Constatações Temporárias série iniciada em 2016 traz frases sintéticas que denunciam e refletem sobre a realidade, como uma espécie de registro histórico da situação vivida no Brasil no campo político e social. A obra tem sempre diferentes formatos (desde faixas de rua, á peças em exposição, inserção em jornal impresso e postagens nas redes), mas seguem essa dinâmica de frases curtas, pontuais, reflexivas e críticas.  Traplev propõe, especialmente para o projeto M.A.P.A. uma reflexão crítica sobre uma perspectiva propositiva, de como e por quê o “futuro” estaria na “História”. A questão se evidencia para pensar “que História é essa”, entre diversas combinações de entendimentos, compreensões e possibilidades para discussão. A imaginação e as referências que fazem surgir com a leitura da frase, são partes dessa curiosidade discursiva que o artista propõe ser pertinente revelar em uma reflexão, na, e sobre, a esfera pública. 

 

The series Constatações Temporárias started in 2016 includes synthetic phrases that denounce and reflect on reality, as a kind of historical record of the situations experienced in Brazil in the political and social field. The work always has different formats (from street banners, to insertions in newspapers and posts on social media), and they follow a dynamic of short, punctual, reflective and critical phrases. Traplev proposes, especially for M.A.P.A., a critical reflection on a propositional perspective, of how and why the "future" would be in "History".  The question becomes evident in order to think “what History is this”, among different combinations of understandings, comprehensions and possibilities for debate. The images and references that arise when reading the sentence, are part of a discursive curiosity that the artist proposes to be pertinent to reveal in a reflection, in and about, the public sphere.

 

Traplev (Caçador, SC, 1977) realiza projetos que buscam, através da coleção de material gráfico e do deslocamento de imagens coletadas no ambiente virtual, registrar o momento histórico brasileiro. Em seu trabalho, o material jornalístico e as notícias compartilhadas nas redes sociais viram disputa semântica e criam novas narrativas linguísticas e estéticas dos acontecimentos políticos" (Júlia Rebouças). Foi editor geral da publicação "recibo", com 18 números publicados e cerca de 75 mil exemplares distribuídos gratuitamente. Desde 2017 desenvolve a pesquisa das Almofadas Pedagógicas, reunindo uma espécie de índice de movimentos, fatos e personagens de luta por justiça no Brasil. Participou de programas de residência como Cali na Colômbia, Montgomery em Berlim, El Basilisco en Avellaneda de Buenos Aires. Entre alguns dos prêmios recebidos estão: Prêmio Arte Contemporânea Funarte, Galeria Fayga Ostrower, Brasília, e Programa Laboratório Curatorial da SP-Arte. É bacharel e mestre em artes visuais pelo Centro de Artes da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, em Florianópolis. Vive e trabalha no Recife.  

 

Traplev (Caçador, SC, 1977) carries out projects that seek, through the collection of graphic material and the displacement of images collected in the virtual environment, to register the Brazilian historical moment. In his work, journalistic material and news shared on social networks become a semantic debate as Traplev creates new linguistic and aesthetic narratives of political events. He coordinated Traplev Budgets actions from 2005 to 2015, with which he organized seminars, workshops, curatorships, exhibitions and collaborative projects. From 2002 to 2015, he published 18 issues of "receipt", having in this period distributed 75 thousand copies free of charge. Since 2017 he has been developing Pedagogical Pads, an index of movements, facts and characters of the struggle for justice in Brazil. He participated in residency programs Cali in Colombia; Montgomery in Germany; Basilisk in Argentina. Among some of the awards received are Arte Contemporânea Funarte Award, 2015; Galeria Fayga Ostrower, Brasília, DF and the 2014 SP-Arte curatorial laboratory program. He holds a bachelor and maste degree in fine arts from the Arts Center of the State University of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis. Traplev currently lives and works in Recife (PE).
